Busy as usual

We are really busy around here--as usual. We have had cheerleading, basketball, vocal lessons, preschool, regular school, homeschool, etc. Dillan has decided that since his regular teacher went to the states for R&R he won't go to the daycare so.... rather than make him miserable I'll just have him home until she returns--around the 15th.

We have also had "special" scouting activities. Katie has been selling cookies like crazy--she's loving it. Both of the kids also had special "Thinking Day" activities yesterday. This is a day when the scouts learn about other cultures and scouting around the world. The girls had a program where each troop learned about a different country and did a presentation. Katie's troop did Ireland. Then the girls rotated around different stations to taste some of the food from the country and learn some facts and get a souvenier. It was a fun afternoon.
The boys scouts did something a little different and something that was a great opportunity that came only by living overseas. The Italian scouts came on post to join our scouts for a day in learning about each others' programs as well as playing games together. Brendan had an absolute blast with this and was completely exhausted when we got home.

The final thing I'm going to touch on today is R&R. It is coming sometime this week!!!!!!!!! We don't know exactly when, but Shane should be home in the next few days!!! We can't wait!! We are spending the day today getting everything ready for Daddy. I'll let you know when he gets here and then I promise you won't hear from me again until he leaves:)

Hope everyone has a great day!
