I went in to the eye doctor yesterday and I can say the PRK was a success. I am now 20/20 in my right eye and 20/25 in my left. I am really happy with that. I have very little dryness and no other issues. It was worth all I went through!!
The family is still incredibly busy with all the activities going on in our lives. I'm taking care of our home--making a lot of changes now that I know we are staying another 2 years--finishing up my classes (done at the end of March), and shuffling kids all the time.
Dillan is still loving preschool 3 days a week. We are trying to get him into soccer this spring, but the post here says they have to be 5 or else they are on a one on one with the parent--drills only--no games type of practice. He tried that in the fall and quit on his own because it wasn't fun for him--we can do that at home. So, I'm going in to talk with the youth sports director and see what we can do.
Meghan is still in Daisies although she is prepping now to cross over to Brownies in April--so exciting!! She has also started vocal lessons again--YAY!!!!!! We are really excited to have her back in that. When the instructor heard her he said he didn't expect that to come out of a 7 year old--I have to agree. She will also be playing soccer this spring--busy busy.
Katie is in Brownies and she is really growing up as she is prepping to fly up to Juniors in April--I can't believe that!!! She has started taking piano and is loving it. She practices everyday--without any kind of reminder. I love this girl! She too will be playing soccer.
Brendan is the busiest of them all--comes with age I guess. He is still absolutely a boy scout through and through! He will be attending a merit badge college this weekend and complete a climbing badge next weekend. Earn his Tenderfoot the weekend after that and we are just signing up for summer camp as well.--whew! I'm glad I"m not doing all that :) He is also finishing up his wrestling season. He is really liking the sport and has learned a tremendous amount. The team he is on is complete novice--which was great for this year, but we will have to switch it up next year. He will also be playing soccer soon--his coach from last year moved the entire team up this year so they can stay together so he will play 14 & under instead of 12 & under and Shane will be his assistant coach again--we are all happy about that. And as if that wasn't enough--I just now got a phone call that they have a spot downtown for him to take guitar lessons--so that too will start next week.
The whole family is going to run a St. Pat's race. The 3 little ones will run a kids' race. The distance is based on age--not sure what it will be yet. This will be Dillan's first race :) Shane, Brendan, and I will be running the 4 miler. We are getting ready to plan costumes--should be a ton of fun!!!
And finally--I think we are going to run another 1/2 marathon in May. It's the first one here in Leavenworth--so we will probably give it a go.
That's the update--I better run--this house isn't going to clean itself--as much as I would like it to :)
